Lime is the main character of The Lime Show. He is a green block-like character whose story begins when he suddenly appears in a grassy field in an unfamiliar world. At the beginning, Lime has no clear understanding of where he is or who he is. He asks, "Who am I?" and discovers his name when a lime fruit falls onto his head. Because the fruit matches his appearance, he decides that his name should be "Lime."
Lime is naturally curious and immediately wants to explore his surroundings and find other places and people. He is energetic, spontaneous, talkative, and often behaves in an unusual or awkward way. He enjoys interacting with other characters and tries to make connections with them. He is also imaginative and sometimes becomes overly excited about his ideas.
A major part of Lime's character is his struggle with being understood and recognized by others. Although he establishes that his name is Lime and that he is male, the Blockster system repeatedly refuses to recognize his identity correctly. This deeply frustrates him because he feels that even the system does not understand who he actually is. Eventually, after repeated authentication failures, he agrees to become anonymous. This creates an important conflict surrounding Lime's identity and his desire to be recognized for who he believes himself to be.
Lime is not established as being evil at the beginning of the story. He starts out primarily as a confused, curious, and socially motivated character who is trying to understand his new world. However, the strange events he experiences gradually affect his behavior. After the Blockster incident, Lime encounters a mysterious blue lollipop that produces an unusual and pleasurable sensation when he tastes it. He becomes interested in experiencing it again. Near the end of the pilot, his behavior becomes increasingly disturbing, and he begins experimenting with Jay while Jay is frozen and unable to respond.
Lime's background is intentionally mysterious. The story does not currently establish his parents, childhood, birthplace, creator, previous life, or exactly why he appeared in the grassy field. His known story effectively begins at the moment he appears there. His central character theme is identity, curiosity, belonging, and gradually losing control as he encounters a world that does not understand him.
